I went through an entire day with my camera set on ISO 1600 by mistake, having not reset it that morning after photos in the dark the night before, but had it not been so fast I might not have caught this. A different seagull had been righteously perched on this wooden pylon and as it took off, this one swooped in to take over.
The sunset behind had us captivated for a good 45 minutes, wandering up and down this stretch of canal in the Canareggio region, watching the colours in the sky change.
