While not quite up to the standards of Mr John Waller, I still like this shot of a tree for what it represents - sweat and exercise!
It's up in Scotland, where I was for Christmas with my family. I'd gone for a bit of a hike up the hills out the back of the house, and got myself a good lungful of proper Scottish air and given my legs a good workout. On the way back I saw this tree up another hill, and despite being utterly exhausted, forced my legs to carry me up to it. When I got there I couldn't find anywhere to get a really good shot of it on its own, but took a few nonetheless.
When I got back home, Alex (mum's partner) instantly recognised it. He's taken a few shots of it himself over the last couple of years! Seems photographers and lone trees are a match made in heaven...
