Took this a few weeks ago when I was experimenting with off-camera flash bounced off an umbrella. To be honest it wasn't the most successful of test shoots, and only got a couple of shots which really work, but that was due to having a scene which was very underlit on one side (the pathway) and dazzlingly overlit the other side (the river reflecting the sunlight) so it was a case of framing to exclude the river, and that took a while.
I also tried to employ some of Dave Nightingale's LAB colour mode processing tutorials, which was a new experience. Overall I'm pleased with what I achieved using the technique, but found that's something that will definitely take a while for me to master. found it twitchy and using it to achieve subtle colouring was quite complex. Could probably have achieved this image in RGB, but for some reason using LAB does seem cleaner.
