I really need to get back to posting some more photos, I've got so many from our recent trip to America - where we got married! Yes, I am now a very happily married man, and I'll put up a few photos from that sometime soon. It took me ages to get round to giving them a polish and I still haven't sent them out to friends and family yet, oops.
This is my nephew, Carlin. He's taking me out to a lake near my grandmother-in-law's house in Alabama, where he showed me how to throw loads of pebbles in the water at once to make cool splashes :)
I was going to make it black and white originally as I also have a B&W one that I shot in camera (the D700 has a good mono mode) and it looks pretty good. In the end I just didn't want to let go of the muted colours. I have a B&W layer set to Overlay for contrast in the details, a couple of curves, for colour tweaks and contrast, some Levels to lift the midtones and finally a vignette curve. All my standard stuff really!
